CHIANG MAI
Chiang Mai is known for its stunning natural beauty and unique indigenous cultural identity. Founded in 1296 by King Mengrai as the capital of the Lanna Thai kingdom. The city formed by integrating of numerous city states in the region. Today Chiang Mai is the center of economic, communications, cultural and tourism of Northern Thailand. About 700 kilometers from Bangkok, Chiang Mai is situated on the Mae Ping River basin some 310 meters above sea level. The terrain is mainly jungles and mountains, parts of which are within national parks which are still fertile and green with plentiful flora and fauna




CHIANG RAI
Chiang Rai covers mostly by mountainous area, is situated on the Kok River basin 416 meters above seas level. It reaches the Mekong River to the North and borders on both Myanmar and Laos. The province is rich in tourism resources in term of natural attractions and antiquities, evidence of its past civilization. Several hill-tribes who follow fascinating ways of life can be seen here as well.





SUKHOTHAI
Sukhothai was the first truly independent Thai Kingdom from the existing Khmer and Mon Kingdoms. It was found in the 13th century, which regarded as the golden age under King Ramkhamhaeng, recognized with creating the Thai alphabet. The superb temples and monuments of this great city have been lovingly restored in Sukhothai Historical Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a must see for all travelers, Sukhothai is located on the lower edge of the northern region, 427 kilometers north of Bangkok or some 350 kilometers south of Chiang Mai.





PHITSANULOK
Phitsanulok has been a major community since the time of the Khmers and enjoyed great prosperity during the Sukhothai and Ayutthaya periods. It was another royal capital as King Borom Trailokanat of Ayutthaya resided permanently in the province during 1463-1487. It is situated on the banks of the Nan River. Most of the areas are flatland, with mountain ranges running on the east where waterfalls and national parks offer opportunities for nature treks.











MAE HONG SON
Mae Hong Son situated in a deep valley surrounded by high mountains range, has long been isolated from the outside world. It is virtually covered with mist throughout the year. Mae Hong Son terrain is highly suitable for training elephant. It has been used as the elephant training center before it is sent to town for work. Today, Mae Hong Son is one of the favorite destinations for visitors who are attracted by its cultural and natural wonders.












BANGKOK
Bangkok is one of Asia's most cosmopolitan cities. Created as the Thai capital in 1782 by the first monarch of the present Chakri dynasty, Bangkok is a national treasure house and Thailand's spiritual, cultural, political, commercial, educational and diplomatic enter. It is home to some 7 millions inhabitants. Major tourist attractions include grand palaces, glittering Buddhist temples, canal and river scenes, classical dance extravaganzas, and numerous shopping centers.





AYUTTHAYA
Ayutthaya is an ancient city serve as the Thai capital for 417 years. It is on of Thailand's major tourist attractions. It was founded by King U-Thong when the Thai were forced southwards by northern neighbors in 1350. Ayutthaya boasts numerous magnificent ruins. Such ruins indicate that Ayutthaya was one of Indochina's most prosperous cities. Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Historical Park is a vast stretch of historical site situated in the heart of Ayutthaya city, has been included in the UNESCO's list of world heritage. During the period of Ayutthaya being the Thai capital, 33 kings of different dynasties ruled the kingdom until it was invaded by the Burmese in 1767
